Included on Launch, not just on Premier.
These are not upsells held back for the top tier. They are on the cheapest plan we sell.
- Unlimited customer & supplier portal accounts — invite every trading partner you have. Portal users never count against your staff seats, on any plan. If you have 400 trade customers, you pay nothing extra to give all 400 a login.
- Industry packs — switch on the shape of business you actually run. Free, and switchable later.
- Six industry starter templates — pick your sector at signup and your product categories, cost centres and reporting dimensions arrive pre-built.
- Country packs — the United Kingdom and Pakistan, each seeding the right chart of accounts and tax codes.
- The audit trail — your own record of who did what and when. A tenant's history of its own activity is a baseline compliance need, not a premium feature, so it is never tier-gated.
- Two-factor authentication — including the option to enforce it across your whole workspace.
Two packs. Neither costs anything.
A pack reshapes the workspace for how your business actually works — which areas appear, what things are called, and which numbers land on your home screen. Enable both, one, or neither.
Inventory, warehousing, purchasing and order-to-cash. Home screen shows stock value, fulfilment SLA, aged debtors, goods received not invoiced and purchase pipeline. This is the standard operations-first experience.
Plans, recurring and usage billing, dunning and SaaS metrics. Renames customers to subscribers and your catalogue to plans, and switches the home screen to MRR, ARR, active subscriptions, net MRR movement, failed payments and cash collected.
Leave both off and you get the full standard experience with standard terminology. A pack only makes a permitted area visible — it never widens what your roles are allowed to do.
Six sectors, pre-structured.
Answer one question at signup — what kind of business is this? — and Cobalt seeds a sensible product-category tree, cost-centre tree and set of reporting dimensions. You are editing a structure rather than staring at an empty system.
- General business — a lean starting structure that fits almost any company.
- Wholesale & distribution — buy-and-resell at volume: warehouse, logistics and purchasing structure.
- Retail store — merchandise departments, shop floor versus stockroom.
- E-commerce — online-first selling: fulfilment, marketing and platform cost centres.
- Light manufacturing — make-and-sell: raw materials versus finished goods, production cost centres.
- Professional services — consultancies and agencies: billable work, retainers, practice management.
Templates are deliberately available on every plan, including Launch. Applying or switching one always shows you a preview of the changes first, and it only ever deactivates things — it never deletes what you have already built.
There is exactly one thing you can buy.
We would rather tell you than have you discover it at renewal.
Map credits. Route planning uses a mapping service to turn addresses into map pins and to estimate journey times. Every workspace gets a monthly allowance we pay for, which covers normal planning for a small fleet. If you exhaust it, route planning does not stop and nothing breaks — it falls back to placing pins manually. On Scale and above you can top up with £10 or £25 of credit if you would rather not. Purchased credit never expires, and your monthly allowance is always spent before your paid credit is touched.
That is the whole list. There are no seat packs, no storage overage bills, no per-document charges, no à-la-carte modules, and no charge for connecting your accountant's software.
Upgrades unlock. Downgrades don't punish.
Every plan runs on the same underlying structure, so moving up is a change of what is switched on — not a data migration, an export-and-reimport, or a project. Nothing moves and nothing is rebuilt.
If you drop a tier and you are over a limit, you keep everything you already have. You simply cannot add more of that thing until you are back under. Nothing is deleted to make the numbers fit.
Export your data whenever you want, in CSV, plus a full accountant pack. There is no contract to escape and no exit fee to negotiate.
Do my customers count as users?
No. Customer and supplier portal accounts are unlimited on every plan and never consume a staff seat. Only your own team counts towards the plan's user limit. This is enforced in the product, not a promise we make on a pricing page.
Do industry packs cost extra?
No. Both packs are free and available on every plan, including Launch. Enabling one changes which areas of the app are visible, what records are called and which figures appear on your home screen. You can switch a pack on or off later, and running no pack at all gives you the full standard experience.
What is the difference between a pack and a template?
A template is a one-time head start: it seeds your product categories, cost centres and reporting dimensions when you sign up, and then you own that structure. A pack is an ongoing setting: it decides which modules light up and what things are called for as long as it is enabled. Both are free.
Which countries are supported?
The United Kingdom and Pakistan have country packs today, each seeding the right chart of accounts and tax codes. Cobalt runs elsewhere, but you would be setting up your own chart of accounts and tax codes rather than starting from a pack.
Is there any hidden usage billing?
No. Map credits are the only thing you can buy, and they are optional. Storage has a small grace buffer above your plan's allowance and then stops accepting new uploads rather than billing you. Document scanning pauses when you reach your monthly page allowance and resumes automatically when it resets. Nothing generates a surprise invoice.
What about the AI features — are they metered?
The parts that read your documents, resolve products and check your data are not AI models at all. They run on your own workspace, cost nothing, and never consume a credit. Plans include an allowance for the assistant's model-backed answers on Growth and above; if that runs out, the assistant keeps working on the free layer rather than switching off.
